About the Role:

As a Data Engineer II, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and managing large-scale data lakes and data warehouses containing data from diverse sources.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement data monitoring, validation, and error-handling processes.
• Create and update data models and maintain database systems.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
• Build and manage data warehouses for large datasets.
• Collaborate on schema design and performance optimization.
• Enforce data quality standards and contribute to data governance policies.
• Develop automation scripts in Python, Java, or SQL for data processes.
• Use version control systems like Git to manage pipeline changes.
• Implement monitoring solutions for system performance and health.
• Optimize data systems for scalability and efficiency.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for data infrastructure.
• Ensure data security and compliance with protection regulations.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for data-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering, BI engineering, or data warehouse development.
• Strong command of SQL and at least one programming language (preferably Python or Java).
• Cloud-native architecture experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with tools like Flink, Airflow, Apache Spark, DBT, Athena, or Presto (good to have).
• Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
